This sweet little birdie assemblage is made from embossed copper sheet with a pretty china wing, twirled brass beaded tail and a soldered tin beak, perched upon a copper branch with flowers of china pieces, then finished in crystalline verdigris. It is mounted and signed on acid free off white card in a cream contemporary style open grain wooden box frame, 230mm x 280mm.
I have a beautiful treasured Magnolia tree tucked away in a corner of the garden protected from the worst of the gales that blow down off the Cheviots, in the spring its delicate blooms seem to attract the more vocal of my garden companions.
